LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Bellarmine University's
Chris Gambert garnered a place on the Google Cloud Academic All-District Baseball Team.
The junior earned the lone catcher's spot on District 4's 11-member team. District 4 is comprised of student-athletes from the Great Lakes Valley, Great Lakes Intercollegiate and Great Midwest conferences.
Gambert carries a 3.67 GPA while majoring in exercise science at Bellarmine. On the field, the Louisville native recently reaped first-team All-GLVC accolades.
Gambert is the cleanup hitter on a Knights squad that captured the GLVC Tournament title and will be making its third straight appearance in the DII NCAA Tournament. The Manual (Ky.) High School product is hitting .392 with 14 homers, 15 doubles and 44 RBIs.
The regions' sports information directors who are members of CoSIDA nominate and vote for Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams. Gambert advances to the Academic All-America ballot.
