FORT MYERS, Fla. — Florida Gulf Coast University scored in the second half in defeating the Bellarmine University men's soccer team 1-0 Saturday in ASUN action at the FGCU Soccer Complex.
Markus Maurer scored off an assist from Max Edwards in the 68th minute for FGCU (2-6-1, 2-2 ASUN). Bellarmine (5-5-1, 1-3) was shut out for the fifth time this season.
Bellarmine struggled mightily to create any chances as the Eagles dominated possession. FGCU posted a 19-1 advantage in shots, including 9-0 on frame.

Connor Range amassed eight saves for the Knights.
Bellarmine will host ASUN foe Liberty at 7 p.m. (ET) next Saturday at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
