LOUISVILLE, Ky. – As weeks start to roll by in 2022, college softball season continues to creep closer. While Bellarmine's
ASUN schedule is set, the Knights released their non-conference lineup of games beginning Feb. 11.
The first trip for BU is to Greenville, S.C. for a tournament hosted by Furman University Feb. 11-13. The Knights play five games in the first three days of the season against Tarleton State, North Dakota (twice), Maryland Eastern Shore, and the host Paladins.
The following weekend, the Knights stay in-state heading down I-65 to the Hilltopper Classic hosted by Western Kentucky. On Feb. 18, the Knights face Southeast Missouri State and WKU. The following morning on Feb. 19, BU battles with Central Michigan before tournament play kicks in with two remaining games.
Home-opening weekend for Bellarmine is Feb. 26-27 at Knights Field with games against Green Bay and Western Michigan on tap. The Knights have a double-header with a contest against each team starting at 11:00 a.m. on that Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
March begins with a double-header at Tennessee-Martin on the first of the month. Another tournament is up afterwards as Bellarmine heads to Austin Peay March 4-6. BU faces Northern Iowa and Northern Illinois twice before a matchup with the Governors to round out the five-game weekend.
A mid-week clash with Northern Kentucky awaits on March 9 prior to Bellarmine's fourth tournament of the non-conference schedule. BU plays four total games against Indiana State, Quinnipiac, and host Tennessee Tech (twice) in Cookeville, Tenn. March 12-13.
The Knights have a double-header at Tennessee State on March 16 and home pair against Marshall on March 22 to conclude the non-conference schedule.
BU's first ASUN games are against Jacksonville at home March 19-20. Starting March 26, it's purely a conference slate the rest of the season with it concluding May 6 at Lipscomb.
