NORMAL, Ill. —  Bellarmine men's tennis put together a strong stretch of tennis at the Redbird Invitational this past weekend, ending the tournament with 14 singles wins and four doubles victories.
 
The Knights competed against opponents from Lindenwood, Chicago State, Eastern Illinois, Western Michigan, Illinois State, and UIC. 
 
Freshman Vineet Ramesh led the team with three singles wins (3-0), while Jack Batchelor (2-1), Brent Reynolds (2-1), Kyle Tang (2-1), and Eli Wood (2-1) all posted two singles victories.  Paul Reynolds, Matthew Nice, and Xavier Ecarma also earned a singles win – giving every player on the roster a singles victory over the weekend.
 
In doubles, Batchelor and Nice went 2-1 as a team.  The duos of Paul Reynolds/Kyle Tang and Eli Wood/Xavier Ecarma each went 1-2.
 
Ramesh has yet to lose in singles during the fall season, while Batchelor, Tang, Wood, and B. Reynolds are all 3-1.  Bellarmine's cumulative singles record during the fall is an impressive 21-10.
 
Bellarmine is back in action this weekend at the ITA Regionals.  Bellarmine and Louisville are serving as host sites Thursday-Sunday.
