SAINT LOUIS — The Bellarmine men's tennis team opened its fall slate by winning all 12 of its matchups versus Saint Louis University on Friday.
 
The Knights won three doubles matches and seven singles matches against the Billikens, with SLU defaulting in two others. 
 
Bellarmine was also scheduled to play a hidden dual versus Lindenwood, but the contest was cancelled due to weather.

With just three returners and five newcomers, Bellarmine handled its business with the following results against Saint Louis:
 
Doubles:
1. Kyle Tang and Jack Batchelor (BU) vs. Eliott Ekindi and Theo Ortis (BU wins 6-1)
2. Paul Reynolds and Xavier Ecarma (BU) vs. Adam Behun and Sansh Kumar (BU wins 6-0)
3. Matthew Nice and Eli Wood (BU) vs. Sebastian Munoz and Jonathan Sadowski (BU wins 6-3)

Singles:
1. Kyle Tang (BU) vs. Adam Behun (Tang wins 6-3, 6-2)
2. Jack Batchelor (BU) vs. Theo Ortis (Batchelor wins 6-3, 3-6, 10-3)
3. Paul Reynolds (BU) vs. Eliott Ekindi (Reynolds wins 6-4, 6-2)
4. Vineet Ramesh (BU) vs. Sansh Kumar (Ramesh wins 6-4, 6-4)
5. Matthew Nice (BU) vs. Sebastian Munoz (Nice wins 6-3, 6-2)

Tang, Batchelor, P. Reynolds, Nice, and Wood all claimed a doubles and singles win on Friday night.
 
While there is no official team victory for Bellarmine, the individual matches count for each player's season totals.
 
The Knights are back in action Oct. 7-9 in Normal, Illinois for the Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State.
