FORT MYERS, Fla. — Top-seeded FGCU posted a 3-0 win over the eighth-seeded Bellarmine University volleyball team Thursday night in the ASUN Championship quarterfinals in Alico Arena.
FGCU (24-6), which didn't lose an ASUN match until the regular-season finale, was victorious by scores of 25-17, 25-18, 25-17. Juliana Lentz had a match-high 10 kills for the Eagles, who hit .330 to the .147 of the Knights. Lentz swung at a lethal .909 clip.

Gabby Brissett led Bellarmine, which ended its season with a 9-20 overall record, with nine kills and senior
MaryAnn O'Toole had seven. Sophomore
Morgan Caba registered nine digs and senior
Macie Garrison tallied 18 assists.
FGCU took the first set comfortably, but the second set was much tighter than the result indicated. The teams were knotted at 18-all before the Eagles finished out the frame on a 7-0 run.
Bellarmine was within 14-13 in the third set but a 4-0 run by FGCU swung control in the Eagles' favor for good.
