ATLANTA—The ASUN Conference announced its postseason awards for men's basketball on Monday with Bellarmine's Garrett Tipton, Ben Johnson and Peter Suder all picking up honors. Tipton was named to the ASUN All-Conference third team while Johnson and Suder earned two of the five spots on the All-Freshman Team.

Tipton has paced the Bellarmine offense all year, averaging 12.8 points per game and 14.1 points per game during league play. A clutch performer, one of Tipton's highlights from this year came when he drained a 3-pointer with less than a second remaining to propel the Knights to a one-point win over EKU.  He also picked up ASUN Player of the Week in January after dropping in a career-high 27 points against Queens.  The redshirt senior from Columbus, Ohio also is having one of the best free throw shooting seasons in Bellarmine history.  His 90.3 percent success rate from the charity stripe ranks tied for fifth in program history for best in a season.

Johnson, a redshirt freshman from Lexington, Kentucky, appeared in all but one game for Bellarmine this year.  The sharp-shooting guard was one of the Knights' steadiest performers and was second on the team in scoring at 10.7 per game. He led the team in 3-pointers made, shooting right at 40 percent from long range during ASUN play. He tied the school record with nine triples as he posted a career-high 31 points against Alice Lloyd.

A true freshman from Carmel, Indiana, Suder started all but one game while playing through multiple injuries. He contributed in all facets of the Bellarmine offense and defense. He scored at 11.6 points per game during league play while averaging 4.9 rebounds and just under two assists. Suder earned ASUN  Newcomer of the Week (1/30).  Overall this season, Suder was third on the team in scoring at 9.8 per game and was second in rebounding and steals.
