Men's tennis continues ASUN excellence, tops Queens on Senior Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The streak continues.  Bellarmine men's tennis hosted Queens on Thursday, and the Knights took down the Royals 5-2 to improve to 6-0 in ASUN action.

Bellarmine also honored its lone senior, Paul Reynolds, prior to the Knights' final regular season home match of the season.

Reynolds emerged victorious in his no. 4 singles match, taking down Laurenz Blickwede 6-4, 6-4.  Reynolds now has 46 singles wins in his career and 40 doubles victories after a 6-3 win alongside Eli Wood at the no. 3 spot.

Matthew Nice and Xavier Ecarma picked up the other doubles win for Bellarmine by a final score of 6-4 in the no. 2 position to secure the doubles point.
In singles, Jack Batchelor bested Win Steveker 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 at the no. 3 spot.  Vineet Ramesh topped Samuele Pia 6-1, 6-1 at no. 5 singles, and Eli Wood defeated Lukas Gosselin at the no. 6 spot by the same score.

Bellarmine's 14 wins are the most for the team since records began in the 2006-07 season.  The Knights remain tied with Liberty for first place in the ASUN standings.

The Knights take on Saint Louis in a road non-conference match Saturday at 5:00 p.m. ET (4:00 p.m. CT).
