LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine men's tennis team concluded a historic season on Friday at the Eddie Weber Tennis Complex, falling to Kennesaw State 4-0 in the ASUN Tournament Quarterfinals.
Bellarmine finished its season with 14 wins – the most for the team since program records began in the 2006-07 season. BU's six ASUN wins also marks the most for the program since transitioning to Division I in 2020-21.
The doubles action was intense the whole way. Bellarmine's
Xavier Ecarma and
Matthew Nice teamed up for a 6-3 win on the no. 2 court, while Raul Garcia and Harvey Conway picked up a win on no. 1 for Kennesaw State. The Bellarmine doubles team of

Eli Wood battled with Kevin Patel and Hugo Salmeron into a tiebreak, but fell by a final score of 7-6 (11-9).
With the doubles point under their belt, the Owls took control in singles. Garcia, Conway, and Anthony Weingarten each earned singles victories to lock up the team win.
Vineet Ramesh led his no. 4 singles match 7-5, 3-2, but it went unfinished. The same was true for
Eli Wood on the no. 6 court, leading 6-3, 4-3 over David Leon when the match was abandoned.
