NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Lipscomb scored eight runs in the fourth inning en route to a 12-3 win over the Bellarmine University baseball team in ASUN action Saturday at Dugan Field.
The series is now tied at one apiece as Bellarmine (11-28, 6-11 ASUN) was victorious over Lipscomb (20-19, 12-5) in Friday's series opener.
Lipscomb's Caleb Ketchup had a leadoff homer for the Bisons and followed with a grand slam in the fourth inning. Alex Vergara went back-to-back with Ketchup, and LU went deep two more times as four of its 10 hits left the ballpark.
Freshman third baseman
Luke Scales had a two-run single in the sixth, and sophomore right fielder
Casey Sorg added an RBI double in the seventh for Bellarmine. Sorg collected two of the Knights' five hits.
Junior right-hander
Conner Christopher V allowed only one run in 3.2 strong innings of relief for Bellarmine.
The series finale is at 2 p.m. (ET) Sunday.
