LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Central Arkansas scored five runs in the ninth inning in pulling away from the Bellarmine University baseball team for a 9-3 win Saturday in ASUN play at Knights Field.
Central Arkansas (18-24, 9-11 ASUN) captured the series after taking the first two games from Bellarmine (11-32, 6-14). The Bears were clinging to a 4-3 lead after eight innings before posting five runs in the ninth, including four with two outs on a two-run single by Drew Sturgeon and a two-run double by Mason King.

Central Arkansas would regain the lead after plating three runs in the fifth. A pair of walks and a hit batter in the inning hurt the Knights, who were then held scoreless over the final five innings at the plate. Bellarmine left the bases loaded in the eighth while trailing by only one run.

Dylan Byerly both collected two hits for the Knights, who registered 10 overall. Sophomore right-hander
Arren Hash tossed 1.1 scoreless innings of relief.
The teams will conclude the series at 1 p.m. (ET) Sunday.
