North Dakota tops women's tennis

GRAND FORKS, ND — The Bellarmine University women's tennis team fell 7-0 to North Dakota on Sunday at Choice Health & Fitness Center.

Bellarmine (8-9) defeated Marquette the previous day in a neutral-site match, but the Knights struggled against the Fighting Hawks (5-7).

Freshman Marika Caruk and junior Yeva Kramarova were leading 6-5 at No. 3 doubles when North Dakota clinched the doubles point. A pair of the singles matches went to super tiebreakers, but the Fighting Hawks were able to complete a sweep of the contests.

Bellarmine returns to ASUN action with a 1 p.m. (ET) match Friday at Queens.
