MOREHEAD, Ky. — Morehead State scored five runs in the first and steadily built upon its lead in a 13-2 win over the Bellarmine University baseball team Tuesday at Sonny Allen Field.
Senior third baseman
Reed Blaszczyk launched his fourth home run of the season for Bellarmine (1-23) on a solo shot in the second. Sophomore catcher
Charlie Rife lifted a sacrifice fly in the same inning, but the Knights wouldn't score against Morehead State (14-11).
Senior center fielder
Will Aubel went 3-for-3 for Bellarmine. Blaszczyk added a pair of hits while sophomore designated hitter
Brady Morse doubled and scored a run.
Morehead State homered four times, including a pair from Ryley Preece. The Eagles followed their five-run first with a three-run second and two-run third.
Bellarmine will host North Florida in an ASUN series Thursday-Saturday. First pitch Thursday is at 2:30 p.m. (ET).
