LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kennesaw State homered on the first pitch of Saturday's Atlantic Sun Conference contest with the Bellarmine University baseball team, and that was a sign of things to come as the visiting Owls defeated the Knights 21-1.
Kennesaw State (24-17, 14-6 ASUN) poured in 10 runs on nine hits in the first inning alone while clinching the series against Bellarmine (6-36, 5-15). The Owls amassed 20 hits, including two homers, two triples and four doubles, while plating six runs in the fourth and four in the sixth in addition to the first-inning outburst.
