Bellarmine University is pleased to announce the appointment of Samantha Robey as its new Athletics Development Officer. In this role, Robey will oversee fundraising efforts for the university's NCAA Division I athletics programs, focusing on securing major gifts to support the continued growth and success of Bellarmine's athletic programs and facilities.
Bellarmine, currently completing its four-year transition to NCAA Division I membership, has already raised over $10 million to support its ambitions in athletics. With Robey's appointment, the university aims to continue raising the standards of its athletic programs and facilities.
Robey is a 2012 graduate of Bellarmine, with degrees in Business Administration and Communication. She was a four-year member of the university's women's golf team,

"As our Division I journey moves into its next phase, she is undoubtedly the right person at the right time to lead our athletics fundraising efforts."
Robey brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having worked at the University of Louisville since 2013. Most recently, she served as the Assistant Director of Development for Major Gifts with a focus on athletics. Prior to that, Robey held various roles at the University of Louisville Golf Club, where she led marketing and memberships. She earned a Master of Science in Sports Administration from the University of Louisville while working there.
"Bellarmine really is my home, so when this opportunity became available, I knew right away it would be the perfect fit," she said. "I am eager to reconnect with Bellarmine's alumni and donors on behalf of our student-athletes as Bellarmine continues to emerge as an ambitious Division I institution."
In her new role, Robey will have direct responsibility for Bellarmine's Athletics giving strategy. She will work closely with Athletics leadership to develop partnerships and secure major gifts. Her responsibilities will include identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gifts from a growing roster of prospects and donors.
