LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Bellarmine University wrestling team returns to action on Wednesday night, December 3, traveling to Columbus, OH to take on No. 2 Ohio State.

Wednesday's match is set to begin at 7 pm E.T. at the Covelli Center. The dual will be streamed live on B1G+.

Bellarmine and Ohio State will be meeting for the first time. Graduate student Daulton Mayer is the lone Knight to have faced off against any of the Buckeyes' probable starters, meeting redshirt junior Nick Feldman in the heavyweight finals at the Clarion Open. Feldman came out on top with an 8-3 decision.

The matchup will mark Bellarmine's second meeting with a top three ranked team this season after facing off against No. 3 Iowa to open the dual season on November 6.

In their last time out, the Knights (1-1) made their home debut, hosting Northern Illinois in Knights Hall. Bellarmine came away victorious, taking a 23-13 win. AJ Rallo, Zac Cowan, Noah Hall, Gavin Ricketts, Andrew Liber and Trayce Eckman all collected wins for BU with Hall earning the lone pin of the night. Eckman was the highlight however as he took down NIU's Markel Baker, then ranked No. 13 in the 133-pound weight class, with a 5-2 decision. The win earned Eckman his first individual ranking with a No. 31 nod from The College Wrestling Report (TCWR).

In addition to Eckman, Rallo is ranked No. 33 in the 141-pound weight class by Intermat and Mayer is ranked No. 32/29/27 by FloWrestling, Intermat and TCWR.

All ten of Ohio State's probable starters are ranked in the top 15 of their respective weight classes with six wrestlers in the top 5 in Nick Bouzakis (3-125), Ben Davino (2-133), Jesse Mendez (1-141), Brandon Cannon (5-157), Carson Kharchla (5-174), Feldman (3-285).
