LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University men's soccer team's
Johan Nissen-Lie was acknowledged as second-team All-Atlantic Region by the United Soccer Coaches.
The latest honor comes after the sophomore forward was recognized as the ASUN co-Player of the Year and first-team All-ASUN. Nissen-Lie is the program's fifth recipient of All-Region accolades in the D1 era following Jonas Skulstad (2020),
Brendan Schoemehl (2023), Brock Pope (2023) and
Austin Yowell (2024).
Nissen-Lie led the ASUN in goals (10), points (20), shots (49) and shots on goal (22). The native of Asker, Norway, netted three goals in six conference games in helping lead the Knights to the ASUN Gold Division title and added another score in the ASUN Tournament finals.
Nissen-Lie was honored on the ASUN All-Tournament Team and earned an ASUN Player of the Week laurel. He was also cited on the College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Team.
