OXFORD, Ohio — Despite producing more hits, the Bellarmine University baseball team fell 10-4 to Miami (Ohio) on Tuesday at Hayden Park.
Miami (22-18) created some cushion with a four-run fourth and added a run in the fifth for a 7-2 lead over Bellarmine (10-30). The Knights countered with a pair of runs in the sixth to get within three, but the Redhawks responded with a three-run bottom half for what was ultimately the final margin.

Joey Milto collecting two hits each. The Knights got on the board in the third behind consecutive RBI singles by senior
Casey Sorg and junior
Eli Watson.
Bellarmine plated its final two runs in the sixth on a pinch-hit, RBI single by sophomore
Nick Gnardellis and a sacrifice fly by freshman
Mason Acton.
Senior right-hander
Arren Hash tossed 1.2 scoreless innings of relief. Senior right-hander
Blake Donnan, sophomore right-hander
Chase Carver and senior right-hander
Mike Sokol delivered a scoreless inning apiece.
Bellarmine has two midweek games this week, as the Knights will play at 7 p.m. ET (6 CT) Wednesday at Southern Indiana.
