9/3/2025 12:23:00 PM

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — First-year head coach Monique Reid announced the complete 2025-26 schedule for the Bellarmine University women's basketball team.

Bellarmine is set for a total of 31 games, including 13 at home and 18 in Atlantic Sun Conference play. The Knights will square off with five 2024-25 NCAA Tournament teams and five more who competed in either the WNIT or WBIT.

Bellarmine's notable road slate includes contests at Ohio State, Illinois, Louisville, Arizona and Notre Dame.

Following a home exhibition Oct. 30 against Simmons, Bellarmine will open the season in Knights Hall by welcoming a pair of in-state foes in their Louisville counterpart Spalding (10-16 last season) on Nov. 3 and Morehead State (10-20) on Nov. 7.

The first of several road contests against marquee names follows as Bellarmine will head to Ohio State on Nov. 13. The Buckeyes were 26-7 overall and 13-5 in the Big Ten last season while advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Bellarmine will shift back home for a Nov. 16 matchup with Miami Ohio (19-12), which earned a WNIT bid last season, before a three-game road stretch Nov. 19 at Wright State (10-22), Nov. 23 at Bradley (14-19) and Nov. 25 at Illinois (22-10), which concluded its season in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Bellarmine and Louisville are co-hosting an MTE. The Knights will bookend contests in the KFC Yum! Center on Nov. 28 against East Tennessee State (17-13) and Nov. 30 against Louisville (22-11, 13-5 ACC) — another second-round NCAA Tournament team — around a Nov. 29 home outing against Eastern Illinois (18-12, 15-5 OVC).

The Louisville matchup kicks off a high-profile four-game road stretch for Bellarmine. The Knights will head to WNIT participant Chattanooga (17-15, SoCon Tournament runner-up) on Dec. 7 and WBIT participant Arizona (19-14) on Dec. 18. BU will conclude its nonconference slate with a Dec. 21 showdown at Notre Dame (28-6, 16-2 ACC), which last season earned a share of the ACC regular-season title and advanced to the Sweet 16.

The 2026 portion of the season brings a turn of the page to ASUN play, where Bellarmine will begin by hosting Queens (10-19, 4-14 ASUN) on Jan. 1 and West Georgia (13-17, 7-11) on Jan. 3. The Knights head to ASUN Tournament runner-up and WNIT team Central Arkansas (23-10, 15-3) on Jan. 8 in their first conference road game before competing Jan. 10 at North Alabama (13-17, 8-10).

Bellarmine follows with its longest ASUN home and road segments of the year, both consisting of four games. BU will lead off the two large clusters in Knights Hall, welcoming Austin Peay (13-18, 7-11) on Jan. 15, Eastern Kentucky (21-12, 10-8) on Jan. 17, North Florida (5-26, 1-17) on Jan. 22 and Jacksonville (14-17, 8-10) on Jan. 24.

Bellarmine will begin the ensuing four-game road stretch with second ASUN battles against Queens on Jan. 29 and West Georgia on Jan. 31. In the latter half, the Knights will head to reigning ASUN regular season and tournament champion FGCU (30-3, 18-0), another NCAA Tournament team, on Feb. 5 and Stetson (16-15, 10-8) on Feb. 7.

Bellarmine will conclude the regular season with more clumps of home and road games, this time three each. The Knights will host WNIT squad Lipscomb (20-12, 12-6) on Feb. 12 before their second respective meetings with Central Arkansas on Feb. 14 and North Alabama on Feb. 19.

Bellarmine closes out with life on the road. The Knights will travel for second clashes with Austin Peay on Feb. 21, Lipscomb on Feb. 25 and Eastern Kentucky on Feb. 27.
