LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Bellarmine women's tennis team dropped both matches of a doubleheader on Thursday, falling to Liberty 4-0 and Delaware 4-1 at the Liberty Indoor Tennis Center.
In the first match against the host Flames, Liberty secured the team point with a sweep of all three doubles courts. Senior Vendula Krsylova won the first set of her single match on court one, but ultimately her match went unfinished as Liberty earned three quick wins on courts three, four and five to clinch the match.
Playing in a neutral site match against Delaware, the Blue Hens also claimed the doubles point, winning on courts one and two. Freshman Claudia Fuste Fernandez and junior
Marika Caruk were tied 4-4 with their opponents before the match was abandoned. Delaware won three singles matches, on courts two, three and five, to take the 4-1 win.

Nikola Kollaritsch secured the only point for Bellarmine on the day with her win over Delaware's Payton Tomichek in No. 6 singles. Kollaritsch earned the win by scores of 6-1, 6-4.
Up next, Bellarmine will take a week off before traveling to play at Bowling Green on February 6.
