Women's tennis drops pair of contests against Louisiana Tech and Mississippi State

STARKVILLE, Ms. – The Bellarmine University women's tennis team faced a challenging doubleheader on Sunday, dropping contests to Louisiana Tech and Mississippi State at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Center.

Bellarmine fell 4-0 in both matches on the day, moving to 6-8 on the season.

In the first match of the day against Louisiana Tech, the duo of senior Vendula Kryslova and sophomore Reese Parker held a 5-4 advantage in their doubles match but unfortunately did not get to finish due to the Bulldogs clinching the doubles point.

Junior Nikola Kollaritsch had a chance at a singles victory against both Lousiana Tech and Mississippi State after winning the first set on court six each time, but she did get the chance to finish either contest as both matches were already decided.

Up next, Bellarmine will continue its road trip, traveling to the state of Indiana for three matches, first taking on the Indiana Hoosiers on February 13 before facing off against Notre Dame in a doubleheader on February 15.
