LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine dance team will travel to Daytona Beach, Florida this week to compete at the NDA College Nationals.
Bellarmine will compete Thursday in the preliminary round in two events — Division I Pom and Division I Spirit Rally. The Knights are scheduled to perform their Pom routine at 8:43 a.m. ET, followed by their Spirit Rally performance at 11 a.m. ET.
Following Thursday's preliminaries, the top 60 percent of teams in each division will advance to the final round of competition.
Fans can watch the performances live via streaming coverage on Varsity TV, with full competition and scoring information available through the National Dance Alliance.
Bellarmine enters this year's national competition with a strong history at the event. The Knights previously captured national championships in the Division II Team Performance category in 2015 and 2019.
This year's team consists of 9 dancers: seniors Darcy Barker, Gracie Edmonds, Jolie Parker, Lilly Ruzanka; junior Karis Wigand; sophomores Adriana Ahern, Isabella Baldazo; and freshman McKenzie Downes, Christian Wharton. The team is led by head coach Alex English Emerich in her third year, alongside assistant coach Alexis Harrison.
