Softball drops season finale at North Alabama

FLORENCE, Al. – Bellarmine softball played its final regular season game of the 2026 season on Saturday, falling 9-0 to North Alabama at Hilda B. Anderson Softball Stadium.

The Knights finished the season 12-38 overall and 5-19 in Atlantic Sun Conference play.

North Alabama jumped on top early, scoring three runs in the first inning. The Lions added another three runs in the third inning, thanks to a two-run homer and RBI triple to extend the lead to 6-0 before capping off the game with a third three run inning in the fourth to go up 9-0, putting the mercy rule in affect.

Sophomore Lele Bennett, along with freshmen Lily Jones and Tia Ice, tallied a base hit each for the Knights.
