KEWADIN, Mi. – The Bellarmine University women's golf team opened its 2026-27 season over the weekend, competing at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational, finishing 12th out of 13 teams.
Geriann Ackermann was the top finisher for the Knights, tying for 45
th out of 81 players. The junior shot in the 70s each round, the only Knight to do so, turning in scores of 77-78-77.
Freshman
Ali Scott made her collegiate debut in the event and turned in the second-best finish for Bellarmine. Firing rounds of 77-76-83, Scott finished tied for 56
th in the event. Her second round 76 was the second-lowest round by any Knight over the weekend.
Abigayle Buchanan shot the low round of the event for Bellarmine, carding a 75 in the third round.
Bowling Green's Addison Kartusch claimed individual medalist honors after soaring up 10 spots on the leaderboard with her third round 64 put her at -5 for the event. She has won the event in each of the last two years. Host Central Michigan won the team medal at +4, 21 shots better than the runner-up Falcons.
