About SAAC
The Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) meets once a month to discuss sport-related issues, concerns affecting student-athletes, plans for upcoming events, and community engagement opportunities for teams. SAAC is composed of a minimum of two representatives from each athletic team. Serving as the direct link between student-athletes, the administration, the ASUN Conference Office, and the NCAA, SAAC is governed by an Executive Board and five sub-committee Chairs. Each leadership team member is nominated and voted into their roles at the end of each academic year. The SAAC is committed to creating the best environment and experience for student-athletes at Bellarmine. Students who lead the SAAC are typically the most influential leaders in the department and across campus. They use their platforms to make a difference and they learn life skills to help them accomplish their goals after their playing careers.

National SAAC Mission
The mission of the NCAA Division I Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by protecting student-athlete well-being, fostering a positive student-athlete image and inclusive student-athlete environment, and promoting student-athlete engagement at the national, conference, and local levels.

Bellarmine SAAC Goals
The BUSAAC aims to be one voice for Bellarmine student-athletes and to encourage each individual's ideas on improving life as a student-athlete. Further, the SAAC strives to help student-athletes achieve greatness in the classroom, playing fields, and community. The SAAC also works to build and maintain a positive image for Bellarmine as a whole through our community outreach projects. The SAAC will promote and support the University community and embody the mission and values of Bellarmine Athletics.
