BEFORE BELLARMINE: Played high school baseball at New Albany in Indiana...Accumulated 102 strikeouts in 73 innings while at New Albany and was a member of the Indiana Academic All-State team...Is a two-time Pastime tournament champion and a Perfect Game tournament champion as a member of the Rawlings Tigers travel organization...Went 5-0 with a 1.34 earned run average while with the organization.
