Bailey Curry

After wrapping up her playing career at Western Kentucky University in the spring of 2022, Bailey Curry joined the Bellarmine coaching staff as a Graduate Assistant in the summer of that same year.

A native of Frankfort, Kentucky, Curry excelled in the batter's box and in the classroom. She started her career at The University of Toledo in 2018 and then transferred to the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she landed for three years. In her three seasons at ULL, Curry accumulated a .298 batting average, 15 home runs, 69 RBI’s, and a .496 slugging percentage. While in Lafayette, Curry earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies with a concentration in behavioral sciences. 
 
Curry picked up her master’s degree in recreation and sport administration with a concentration in intercollegiate athletic administration from Western Kentucky, as she took advantage of a fifth playing season and academic year due to COVID. In her final playing season, she accumulated a .296 batting average, 12 home runs, 48 RBI’s, and a .620 slugging percentage. This excelled her career stats to a .317 batting average, 41 home runs, 163 RBI’s, and a .548 slugging percentage.
 
Her collegiate accolades include being named Mid-American Conference Freshman of the Year at Toledo, named to the NFCA All- Great Lakes Region Team, C-USA Player of the Week along with Two-time Louisville Slugger/Wilson NFCA Top Performance awards. Academically, she was named to the Sun-Belt Conference Commissioner’s List along with the WKU President’s List in the fall and spring semesters of her fifth year, while also earning a Conference USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal and being on the Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. 
 
At Bellarmine, Curry will be a Graduate Assistant with a focus on catching, infield, and hitting.
