Bellarmine University Athletics

Morgan Foley

Morgan Foley joined the Bellarmine softball staff for the 2019-20 season.  A native of Louisville, she starred at Assumption High School before becoming a Bellarmine rival at the University of Indianapolis.

As a Greyhound, Foley enjoyed unprecedented success, including being a 4-time CoSIDA First Team All-American.  She earned First Team All-Ameica accolades from the NFCA three times and was Second Team in 2013. Foley also was a finalist for the NFCA's DII National Player of the Year award in 2016. She also set two NCAA records:  Most strikeouts in a game (30) and Most Strikeouts in a 7-inning game (21).

Following her stellar collegiate career, Foley signed with the Chicago Bandits of the NPF, helping lead her team to the Cowles Cup Championship during her rookie season. She then traveled overseas to Italy and played professionally for Collecchio, Italy where she hurled a no-hitter during her two-moth stint. She then returned to the NPF for the 2017 season, signing with the Scrap Yard Dawgs out of Houston, Texas. She also won the Cowles Cup that year. Scrap Yard then broke off from the NPF and played as an independent pro team, Scrap Yard Fast Pitch, which travels across the country taking the game to fans playing in front of crowds of 6,000 people at some venues.
