2025 – Fifth-year Senior
ASUN Honor Roll recipient...After transferring to Bellarmine, ranked second on team in homers (seven) and hit by pitches (10), fourth in RBI (26) and fifth in slugging percentage (.430)…Appeared in 47 games with 44 starts and supplied 26 hits, including six doubles and a triple, and 22 runs scored…In 26 ASUN games, registered three homers, two doubles, a triple, seven RBI and nine runs scored…Notched six multi-hit games and six multi-RBI outings…Blasted a grand slam against Northern Kentucky on Feb. 23…Launched two homers and collected three RBI against Charleston Southern on Feb. 28…Homered while going 3-for-4 against Central Arkansas on April 27…Delivered a go-ahead, RBI single and team led from there in 10-9 win over No. 21 Louisville on May 13…Cranked a homer and doubled against Eastern Kentucky on May 16…Batted .429 with a homer in second ASUN series with Central Arkansas; hit .400 in second series with Lipscomb.

BEFORE BELLARMINE: Played freshman and sophomore seasons at Kansas, junior year at Nevada and senior season at Cumberland (Tenn.) University…In 2024 at Cumberland, appeared in 38 games with 32 starts and batted .239 with seven homers, six doubles, 21 RBI and 19 runs scored…In 2023 at Nevada, appeared in 13 games and had a homer, seven RBI and four runs scored…In two seasons at Kansas, appeared in 36 games and was named to the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Second Team and the 2020-21 Academic All-Big 12 Rookie Team…Attended high school at Estrella Foothills in Arizona and was ranked the No. 9 player in Arizona by Perfect Game…Finished his junior season with a .386 batting average and seven doubles, six home runs and 34 RBI…Tallied a 2.05 ERA and a 5-1 record as a pitcher while recording 46 strikeouts in 41 innings pitched…Named first-team All-State in Arizona as an infielder…Served as a quarterback and kicker of football team his senior year…His father, Rick Sweet, played for the Padres, Mets and Mariners, and is the current manager of the Milwaukee Brewers’ Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds; he was the manager of the Louisville Bats, the Cincinnati Reds’ Triple-A affiliate, from 2005-11.
