Logan Powell joined the Bellarmine University women’s basketball staff as the director of basketball operations in June of 2025.
Powell arrived at Bellarmine after being an assistant coach for two seasons at Division II Kentucky State University, where she helped lead the Thorobreds to a 2023-24 Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference West Division regular-season title. In the championship season at Kentucky State, Powell helped power the Thorobreds to a 19-6 overall record, including 15-4 in the SIAC. KSU also made an appearance in the SIAC Tournament finals.
Powell played three seasons (2014-17) at Kentucky State. She was a 6-foot forward who appeared in 75 games with 41 starts for the Thorobreds and amassed over 600 points and 370 rebounds while shooting 48.2 percent from the floor.
Powell played her freshman season at Norfolk State University, where she was a 2013-14 MEAC All-Rookie Team selection after averaging 8.1 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
Powell was a four-year varsity letter winner at Marion County (Ky.) High School and was named honorable-mention All-State as a senior along with being chosen to play in the Kentucky/Indiana All-Star Game. She was a member of the 2012-13 squad that went 39-0 en route to capturing the KHSAA state championship.
A native of Lebanon, Kentucky, Powell earned a bachelor’s degree in physical education from Kentucky State in 2017 and obtained an MBA in sport management from Midway in 2025.
