Brad Bluestone, whose background includes a lengthy tenure in professional baseball, is the assistant athletic director for student athlete wellness and head athletic trainer at Bellarmine University. He has served within the Knights’ athletic department since 2006.

Before Bellarmine, Bluestone worked for 13 years with the St. Louis Cardinals organization as an athletic trainer. He also directed the Kort/Caritas Sports Training Center in Louisville for five years.Â

Bluestone was born in Pittsburgh, Penn., and grew up in Los Angeles. He received his bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in 1986 and his master's degree in sports administration from St. Thomas University in 2017.
Bluestone is also an adjunct professor in the master's of athletic training program at Bellarmine University.Â
He is married to native Louisvillian Deborah Bluestone.Â
