Snider selected by Philadelphia in National Lacrosse League draft

LOUISVILLE, Ky.--Bobby Snider, Bellarmine's all-time leader in ground balls and faceoffs won, was selected in the second round of the National Lacrosse League draft by the Philadelphia Wings.  He was the 17th player selected overall and will join his older brother Geoff on the Wings' roster.

Snider was listed No. 10 on the NLL Insider's Hot 50 list prior to the draft.  A native of Calgary, he is currently playing in the Mann Cup, the senior men's lacrosse championship of Canada.
During his career at Bellarmine, Snider won 52.5 percent of his faceoffs (495 of 939), and he  collected 200 groundballs in his four seasons with the Knights.
