LOUISVILLE, Ky. ---The No. 22 Bellarmine University women's soccer team will put their ranking on the line this weekend as they play two games away from Owsley B. Frazier Stadium when they travel to Missouri S&T on Friday and Drury University on Sunday.

The Knights made their first appearance in the NSCAA Coaches Poll this week after home victories over Rockhurst and William Jewell last weekend. With a 5-0-1 record overall, including a perfect 4-0 in conference, Bellarmine currently sits in second place in the GLVC with Missouri S&T (2-2-1, 2-2 GLVC) and Drury (4-2-1, 1-2-1 GLVC) in eighth and ninth place respectively.

Junior forward Alex Kowalski has scored four of the teams 13 goals on the season, with eight other players splitting the nine remaining goals. Goalkeeper Amy Kunowski continues her stellar play allowing only one goal in the past four games while making 18 saves.

The Miners have been tested early and often in 2011 as three of five matches have gone to overtime including last time out against Kentucky Wesleyan. In those three overtime games, the Miners own a 2-0-1 record. Missouri S&T is led by senior forward Leah Williams who is off to a hot start scoring five goals in five games.

Coming off a 3-1 loss to Southern Indiana, Drury features the GLVC's leading scorer in forward Nicole Williams, who has tallied seven goals already in 2011. This will be the second game in a row that the Knights have to face one of the conference's best athletes as the Knights had to deal with William Jewell's Sarah Franklin last weekend. Abby Schuhmann and the Bellarmine defense locked down Franklin, allowing her only two shots total, one of goal, for the game.

The Knights will kick things off against Missouri S&T at 6:00 PM with Sunday's matchup against Drury scheduled for a 1:00 PM start time.
