Box Score LOUISVILLE, Ky. --- The Bellarmine Knights used a big first half to run past the Berea College Mountaineers on Tuesday night, hitting cruise control down the stretch to come away with a 74-33 win in Knights Hall.

Rachel Greenwell scored 16 of her 18 points in the opening period as Bellarmine (4-1) led 48-16 at the break. The senior from Owensboro, Ky. was on fire in the outset, hitting six of nine shots from the field including four of six from behind the arc. The 18 points, in only 22 minutes of action, were two shy of her career-high that she set on Sunday against Notre Dame College.

Berea (1-6) took their only lead of the game at 3-2 after an Erika Parks three-pointer just over a minute into the contest. The Knights then reeled off a 21-3 run over the next 11-mintues to leave no doubt to the outcome. Forward Kelsey Lamb scored five of her career-high 11 points during the stretch to spark the potent offense. All 11 of the junior's points came in the opening stanza as she was a perfect 3-3 from the field and 5-5 from the charity stripe.

Greenwell and Lamb were the benefactors of Bellarmine's big first half which can be credited to the team's 16 assists on 18 made field goals. While combining for only six points, Therese Montano, Kylee Hamilton, and Betsy Goodin were the catalyst for the Knights' unselfish offense, dishing out nine assists in the half.

The 41-point victory is Bellarmine's largest since beating Lake Superior State by the same margin on Dec. 29, 2008 in Knights Hall.

Morgan Clemons finished the game with six points and 15 rebounds with eight coming on the offensive end. It is the sophomore's second double-digit rebounding game of the year, opening the season with a 10 rebound effort in the win over Kentucky State.

All 15 players on the team saw action with 12 finding the scoring column. Only Greenwell, Clemons, and Goodin played more than 20-minutes as the Knights finished the game shooting 47.5% from the field on 29 of 61 shooting.

Bellarmine will have a week off before their next game, taking on Georgetown College next Tuesday night in Knights Hall.
