11/13/2013 12:03:00 PM

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The Bellarmine University women's basketball team will open their 2013-14 campaign in Cedarville, Ohio on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The Knights' match against the Yellow Jackets of Cedarville University is set to begin at 7 p.m.

Bellarmine (0-0, 0-0 GLVC) enters Wednesday's contest having fallen on the road in their lone exhibition of the season to Ohio State. Last season, in head coach Chancellor Dugan's first year at the helm, Bellarmine went 19-11 but exited the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament in the first round after a loss to William Jewell 73-84.

The Knights have won 15 consecutive regular season openers dating back to 1998 when they began the streak with a 98-59 win over Alabama-Huntsville. The Knights are 0-2 all-time against Cedarville, having most recently lost to the Yellow Jackets last season, 56-67, in Cedarville's first active year in NCAA Division II.

Bellarmine welcomes eight new faces to the program, with five freshman and three transfers joining the squad for the 2013-14 season. Returning for the Knights is the leading scorer (10.4 ppg) and rebounder (5.8 ppg) from a season ago, junior forward Darion Hutchinson, as well as two seniors in guard Therese Montano who scored 7.9 points per game last year and forward Kelsey Lamb (4.7 ppg, 3.9 rpg). Morgan Clemons (6.4 ppg) enters her junior year while Nicole Bryant (0.8 ppg) and Sarah Galvin (1.9 ppg) return as sophomores for the Knights.

Cedarville (0-1, 0-0 G-MAC) opened their season on Saturday, Nov. 9 with a loss on the road at the 2013 NCAA Div. II champions Ashland University, 72-83, where Ashland has not lost since January, 2011.

The Yellow Jackets return senior guard Kayla Jenerette who was a 2013 Great Midwest Athletic Conference All-Conference First Team selection and, entering her final year, is 14th on the all-time Cedarville scoring list with 1,397 career points. Jenerette averaged 16.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game last season. However, Jenerette also surrendered 111 turnovers, nearly four a game.

The game will start at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast on WFIA 94.7-FM with Chris Labar calling the action. You can watch the game live streaming or follow the stats by clicking here: Bellarmine vs. Cedarville
