Recaps of the Sunday games are below.

Game 1: Bellarmine 4, Findlay 1 (Box Score)

Designated hitter Austin Crutcher's leadoff triple down the left field line set the tone for the Knights in a seven-inning opening contest.  Crutcher was driven in by left fielder Michael Morrissette, and finished the game 2-for-4 with a pair of runs and one run batted in.  He was the only Knight with multiple hits in the game.

Bellarmine recorded three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning, highlighted by a two-run at-bat for Morrissette, in which Findlay shortstop Reid Rothenbuhler overthrew first baseman Tommy Roush, allowing Crutcher and Justin Eberenz to score.

Findlay right fielder Jon Schollenberger led the squad in hitting, going 2-for-3, and scored the only Findlay run in the sixth inning.

The Knights outhit the Oilers 7-5, while both teams drew a pair of walks for the game.

Game 2: Findlay 10, Bellarmine 3 (Box Score)

Starter Benjamin Fuchs (L, 0-1) allowed two runs in one-third of an inning pitched before exiting a game in which the Knights allowed the most runs in a seven-inning game since an 11-1 defeat at Henderson State on Mar. 6, 2011.

Right fielder Phil Leopold went 2-for-4 with a run scored in the sixth inning off a sacrifice fly by third baseman Graham Spencer.  Morrissette also recorded a pair of hits to increase his average to .500 on the young season.

Bellarmine used eight relievers in the game, as Evan McNair, John Hakemoller, and Jes Staples each made their collegiate debuts.

Darrell Thobe (W, 1-0) took the winning honors for Findlay (1-3), pitching five-plus innings and striking out two.
