LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine University men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to Southern Indiana in its regular season finale on Wednesday at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.

The Knights fell to 10-8 overall and 8-7 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, while USI improved to 8-6-3 and 6-6-3. BU is the sixth seed in the GLVC Tournament and will play Sunday at third-seeded Quincy.

Despite missing multiple starters due to injury, Bellarmine was relatively even with Southern Indiana in the shot column. The Knights had 11 to the 13 of the Screaming Eagles. USI had a 7-4 advantage in shots on frame.

In a scoreless first half, Bellarmine doubled USI's shot attempts — 6-3 — but the Screaming Eagles did the same thing to the Knights after the break — 10-5.

USI converted on two of its chances. Kasper Bjoro scored in the 60th minute and Michael Sass headed in a corner kick in the 62nd minute.
