SOMERS, Wisc.—The Bellarmine University volleyball team fell in four sets (17-25, 18-25, 25-21, 23-25) to the homestanding Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers tonight in a Great Lakes Valley Conference match at DeSimone Gymnasium.
The Rangers had a big hitting night against Bellarmine, swinging for a .308 hitting percentage led by Rebecca Roembke with 25 kills. The Knights hit just .158 despite a solid night by
Ashley Jefferson, who registered a team-high 15 kills while hitting .364.
Bellarmine showed signs of making a comeback, with a third set victory and making a late surge in the fourth set. However, the Rangers (11-6, 5-3) held off the Knights to protect their home court.
The Knights got a second straight double-double from
Hayden Dailey with 14 kills and 10 digs, and setter
Allie Muha recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 41 assists and 10 digs.

Jordyn Kuchenbrod posted a game high 23 digs for Bellarmine while defensive specialists
Abby Schlaug and
Phoenix Fowler came up with 13 and 10 digs respectively.
The Knights fall to 7-11 overall and 2-6 in the GLVC and now face East Division leader Lewis in a 4 p.m. (EDT) match tomorrow. The Flyers are indeed flying high this season with a No. 21 national ranking and a 17-1 record, including a perfect 8-0 in league play.
