GREENVILLE, Tenn. — The visiting Bellarmine University baseball team fell 9-1 to Tusculum on Saturday in the second of a three-game series.
The Knights (1-4) didn't have significantly less hits than the Pioneers (5-4) — 12-9 — but they could muster only one seventh-inning run. Tusculum led 3-0 after four innings and then scored three runs apiece in the fifth and eighth frames.

Brady Pfaadt had two hits apiece for Bellarmine. Freshman designated hitter
Duncan Amrein accounted for the Knights' lone run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh.
Sophomore left-hander
Eddie Mathis (0-2) suffered the loss for Bellarmine, allowing six earned runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Sophomore right-hander
Kyle Beach struck out four in 2.2 scoreless innings of relief.
The teams will conclude the series at 1 p.m. (ET) Sunday.
