CLEVELAND, Tenn. — The visiting Bellarmine University men's soccer team concluded the nonconference portion of its schedule with a 3-0 loss at Lee on Saturday.
The Knights (1-2) tallied 14 shots to the 10 of the Flames (2-1-1), but Lee scored on three of its five attempts on frame. Bellarmine had four shots on goal.
When the match was scoreless in the first half, Bellarmine had a near-miss that caromed off the post, and things seemed to go south after that. Lee had a nice combination of passes and a strong finish by Owen Keck to take a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute.
Lee then scored two goals early in the second half, both coming from Aidan Moore. The first came in the 51st minute and the second came in the 56th minute.
Bellarmine opens Great Lakes Valley Conference play Friday at Missouri S&T.
