INDIANAPOLIS — No. 19 Indianapolis defeated the visiting Bellarmine University men's tennis team 7-0 on Saturday in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
Indianapolis (9-4, 2-0 GLVC) won each doubles match 6-1 and swept the singles contests against the Knights (4-10, 0-2), although there were some close sets.
"There's a reason that team almost won the national title last year," Knights Coach
Tyler Worley said. "They are really good and reloaded again this year.
Caleb Buckman gave the No. 3 player in the country (Renato Lima) all he could handle, and
Evan Bottorff was just a break a set off his nationally ranked opponent (Nils Hoffacker)."
Bellarmine plays Friday at Lewis.
