LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Five Bellarmine University swimmers earned invitations to the DII NCAA Championships.
Sophomore All-American
Matthew Sims qualified in the 200 butterfly and will also compete in the 200 individual medley and 400 individual medley, while junior All-American
Sophia Noren secured a spot in the 100 breaststroke and sophomore All-GLVC performer
Rachel Walker locked up berths in the 100 butterfly and 500 freestyle.

Maya Sorensen are eligible to compete in the 200 and 400 medley relays.
Sims earned first-team All-America honors last season in the 200 butterfly after placing fourth at the NCAA Championships. He's the two-time reigning GLVC champion in the event. Sims also competed in the 400 individual medley and 1650 freestyle last season at nationals.
Noren is a two-time second-team All-American in the 100 breaststroke. She placed 10th at the NCAA Championships last season and 13th as a freshman.
Walker earned All-GLVC plaudits in the 100 butterfly after placing second at the conference meet. While she didn't compete in either the 100 butterfly or 500 freestyle in last year's NCAA Championships, she did participate in the 200, 1000 and 1650 freestyles.
Noren and Roegner were members of the 200 medley relay team that placed 15th at the NCAA Championships last season. Noren, Roegner and Walker were all on the 400 medley relay team that placed 22nd at nationals.
The NCAA Championships will unfold March 11-14 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
