Knights fall in four sets on the road at Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga.—For the fourth match in a row, the Bellarmine Knights squared off against defending ASUN Champion Kennesaw State with the host Owls taking a four-set victory (25-13, 20-25, 25-23, 25-20) today.

After taking a lopsided loss in the first set, the Knights rebounded to win game two and go to fight Kennesaw State toe-to-toe for the remainder of the match.

Hannah Brown and Chrysanthi Stamatiou were the offensive leaders for Bellarmine with 11 kills each while freshman setter Kalli Mau dished out 35 assists. Brown was particularly effective on the offensive end, taking just 17 swings on her 11 kills for a hitting percentage of .647.

On the defensive side, Abbie Oetting recorded a solo block to go along with two assisted blocks while Brown and Bailey Roszman each tallied three assisted blocks.  Emily Ernst came up with nine digs to lead the Knights as five different players recorded seven or more.
