NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Lipscomb scored 10 runs over the sixth and seventh innings in capturing a 14-5 victory over the Bellarmine University baseball team in the ASUN series finale Saturday at Ken Dugan Field.
Senior second baseman
Justin Rouse blasted a go-ahead grand slam in a five-run sixth for Bellarmine (9-16, 5-7 ASUN), but Lipscomb (10-12, 4-5) countered with a grand slam in its six-run bottom half. The Bisons tacked on four more runs in the seventh to pull away.
The grand slam was the second homer of the season for Rouse, who finished with two of Bellarmine's five hits. Lipscomb took two of three in the series and tallied 14 hits, led by Tiger Borom, who had the Bisons' grand slam and finished with six RBIs.
Bellarmine plays Tuesday at Murray State.
