LOUISVILLE, Ky. — With one month to go until the season opener, the Bellarmine University baseball team announced its full 2022 schedule Tuesday.
Bellarmine is scheduled for 53 games, with 19 coming at Knights Field and 34 coming away from home, including a pair of neutral-site contests. The Knights' ASUN slate consists of 30 games, split evenly between three-game series at home and on the road against their five West Division counterparts.
Bellarmine will hit the road for its first 12 games. The Knights open the season from Feb. 18-20 at Gardner-Webb. The Knights will play one neutral-site game apiece against Virginia and NJIT before two road contests against Gardner-Webb. They'll double up on the second of the three days with contests against NJIT and Gardner-Webb.
Bellarmine will play Feb. 22 at Murray State before a three-game series Feb. 25-27 at Southeast Missouri State. The Knights will then compete March 1 at Austin Peay State before a three-game set March 4-6 at Presbyterian.
Bellarmine will make its home debut March 8 against Morehead State before transitioning right back to road action with a three-game series March 11-13 at Purdue and a one-off March 16 at Louisville. The Knights follow by opening ASUN play with a three-game set March 18-20 at home against Central Arkansas.
Bellarmine will head to Eastern Illinois for a March 22 midweek game and follow with a three-game ASUN series March 25-27 at Eastern Kentucky. The Knights then enter their longest home stretch of the season, hosting Butler on March 29 in a midweek game before welcoming Lipscomb from April 1-3 and North Alabama from April 8-10 in three-game ASUN series.
Bellarmine follows with another lengthy road stretch. The Knights will play an April 12 midweek contest at Kentucky before three-game ASUN series April 14-16 at Jacksonville State and April 22-24 at Central Arkansas.
Bellarmine hosts Austin Peay State on April 27 before welcoming Eastern Kentucky for a three-game ASUN series April 29-May 1. The Knights then head to Lipscomb for three conference contests May 6-8, travel to Tennessee for a May 10 midweek game and make their way to North Alabama for three league battles May 13-15.
Bellarmine will conclude the regular season with four home games. The Knights welcome Western Kentucky on May 17 before finishing up May 19-21 with a three-game ASUN series against Jacksonville State.
