RALEIGH, N.C.--The Bellarmine men's golf team completed play in the Wolfpack Intercollegiate on Sunday, finishing 14th in the tourney hosted by North Carololina State at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course.
The Mocs of Chattanooga took the championship in the 14-team event by firing a final round 272 (-16) that was highlighted by Paul Conroy's electrifying closing 62, that included back-to-back eagles, the second of which was a hole-in-one. Conroy went on to earn medalist honors, finishing the 54-hole event at 10-under par to win by two.
The Knights struggled to find any momentum, although
Ballard Harris managed to break par in the second round with a one-under 71 that featured five birdies. Harris was low the player for Bellarmine, finishing tied for 33rd in the field of 84 players. Â
Bellarmine is scheduled to wrap its fall season at the "Clash at the Country Club," in which the Knights will battle Tennessee Martin at the Country Club of Paducah on Monday, Oct. 24.
