LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Bellarmine men's tennis team concluded its season on Saturday while honoring the seniors on Senior Day at Kentucky Country Day.
The following players were recognized:
Cole Groetsch – Hometown: Chalfont, PA / Major: Business Administration
Emil B. Berglund – Hometown: Bekkestua, Norway / Major: Computer Science

North Florida came out on top by a final score of 7-0.
Groetsch put up an excellent fight in his final doubles and singles match. The doubles team of Groetsch and
Paul Reynolds fell 7-6 to Jorge Nunez and Jonas Hartenstein in the no.1 slot, while Groetsch dropped his no. 1 singles match 6-4, 4-6, 9-11 to Hartenstein.
Jack Batchelor and
Xavier Ecarma also showcased strong sets. Batchelor lost 7-5, 6-4 in no. 2 singles to Nilo Duarte and Ecarma fell to PJ Kotan 7-6, 6-1.
Matt Carroll, Dominik Barton, and Bruno Vietri also nabbed singles wins for the Ospreys, who finished their season 15-7 (6-2 ASUN).
Batchelor concluded the year with a team-best 16 wins between the fall and spring. Groetsch and Batchelor and Groetsch both had eight wins during the spring. The doubles team of Ecarma and Reynolds tallied five victories together which led the squad. Berglund was recently named Bellarmine's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year at "The Bellies" award show, honoring Knights student athletes.
