Playsted picks up second ASUN Player of the Week honor of season

ATLANTA, Ga. – Bellarmine's Kyle Playsted and Utah's Zion DeChesere took home the ASUN Conference Men's Lacrosse Player and Defense Player of the Week, respectively, announced by the league office on Tuesday. Playsted grabbed his second accolade of the season following a seven-point performance against Cleveland State (3 goals, 4 assists) to help the Knights win, 15-11, over the Vikings. DeChesere earned the first honor of his career after racking up a season-best 14 saves against the Air Force Falcons in a two-score victory, 10-8, while surrendering just eight goals to notch the Utes' first ASUN win in program history.

- Second Career ASUN Player of the Week selection; third all-time accolade in Knights program history
- Recorded three goals and four assists to help Bellarmine lock down an ASUN win, 15-11, against Cleveland State
- Notched the second-highest point total of the year by a Knight as Bellarmine secured its first league win in 2022
- Added onto his lead atop the standings throughout the conference in overall assists with 22
- Moved into second in the league in total points with 41 as his three scores came on just five shots

ASUN Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week
Zion DeChesere, Utah
Junior | Goalie | Henderson, Nev.

- First Career Defensive Player of the Week award; fifth all-time acknowledgment for the Utes 
- Produced a 63.6% save percentage in Utah's first ASUN win in program history, 10-8, at Air Force
- Only allowed eight goals while racking up a season-best 14 saves against the Falcons in a two-score victory
- Blocked two attempts in the third quarter that allowed the Utes to take an 8-5 lead into the final period
- Played all 60 minutes and made key plays in the fourth quarter to prevent Air Force from making a run
