LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Bellarmine University Head Volleyball Coach Jenni Grzebin has announced the signing of two undergraduate transfers for the 2022 season.  Macie Garrison, a 5-9 setter from Jacksonville State, and Jayda Harris, a 6-2 middle hitter from the U.S. Military Academy, both will enroll at Bellarmine and be eligible for the fall season.  They will each have three years of eligibility remaining.

Garrison, a Sellersburg, Indiana native who played high school volleyball at Silver Creek, was a three-time 3A All-State selection, and she garnered Player of the Year nominations from both the Courier Journal and the News and Tribune in 2019.  A two-time team captain, Garrison helped guide the Dragons to a pair of regional crowns and three sectional titles.

Harris hails from Benton, Kentucky and played her high school volleyball at McCracken County, where she helped lead the team to the state tournament all three years she competed. In 2019, Harris led the state in hitting percentage.

Bellarmine is set to kick off its 2022 campaign on August 26 at the St. Francis (Pa.) tournament.  The Knights' home opener is slated for Sept. 9 when they host the Hawthorne Suites Louisville East Bellarmine Invitational. The event welcomes IUPUI, Gardner Webb and the University of Seattle for competition on Sept. 9 and 10.
