To recognize the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX, Bellarmine Athletics is highlighting nine women who have made remarkable impacts on our programs. Today, we turn the spotlight on a Bellarmine legend, Kaelin Kallay Rybak.
Inducted into the Bellarmine Athletics Hall of Fame in 2009 in the "Legends" category, Kaelin has simply added to her remarkable Bellarmine resume since that time. As a Bellarmine freshman, she began working on the Bellarmine statistics crew for basketball games, and she hasn't stopped since. The 2022 season marked her 52nd year of serving the Knights (and the Belles) and her games-worked total is approaching 1,400. In addition to serving the stats crew, she also is a regular behind the microphone singing the national anthem. Â
Aside from her astounding body of work at basketball games, Kaelin is a former Bellarmine Alumna of the Year and a past Bellarmine Boosters President. She also has served on the Bellarmine Board of Overseers, on boards of various Catholic high schools in the Louisville area and as the choir director and cantor at St. Martha Church.
